Planning for unique events can take up to several months, so as a Los Angeles Florist, I like to start the process with my clients as early as possible. With our 1940s Vintage Elopement, after six months (encompassing a busy Christmas card & family portrait season for the photographer) of dreaming and planning, Ashley Burns Photography and I finally realized the end result of our hard work and dedication.
Our original inspiration for this stunning elopement styled shoot was the vintage feel and romance of Taylor Swift's video, "Wildest Dreams", and over time, as most points of inspiration do, that vision morphed into something much different. We were truly inspired by the colored glassware provided by Otis + Pearl, which set the tone for the incredible dress we selected, to the table, and my vintage-inspired blooms.
This style of elopement can lend to either a small ceremony (hence, elopement), or to a big one. This style is very relevant and popular and would work on either scale. The lace, the style of flowers, flat wear, and dishes would also work seamlessly with a vintage farmhouse style event or wedding.
A HUMONGOUS thank you (and equally giant mama-bear hug) goes out to all the incredible creative partners on this project:
